  1. Im personally for the east coast. There is a certain class culture there and we see that with artists like Diddy. Not only that i love the way biggie rapped, not harsh, everything flows with him. He just does it for me..

  2. Our generation...late 80's early 90's should rather speak for the tim we know...
of which the east coast really ruled...however the south did have quite a takeover stint for a bit.

  3. we can agree that we can tell the difference between westcoast music today and eastcoast music, and music from the southside. they all have their unique sound ryt, SO you do have a point but ther are those of us in "our time" who use old school hip hop as the grounds of our knowledge of what hip hop should be today. we study old school, to learn then appreciate and realise that tupac and biggie may have been part of what made "hip hop" big.we're always hearing that hip hop is dead now ryt. so what im asking is who brought that greatness to the table of hip hop more back then being "biggie or tupac" as reference today "west coast t.i./east coast jay z"

  4. T.I. is from the south :)

HipHop never died, the reasons why people did it at first and now are what changed.

Jay-Z is the only one to solely carry a coast year on year and never fail, growing hiphop and taking i to stages such as The Glastonboury festival where only rick music ever existed.

    So yes, east coast.

kepping in mind that West Coasts contribution was major initially, Pac was biger than Big!

Pac would drop an album, only have 2 music videos and sell 5mill in 2months. Biggie would drop and album, ahev the whole of new york in his videos, do a million features etc etc but only sell 2mill in 2years. people say sales do mean anything but they do indeed mean popularity (how popularity is acheived is another thing).

The rapper wth the greatest influence ever was 2pac and the only person who either has or will be greater is Jay-Z!!

  5. biggie real sick,im only startng to appreciate him now unlike before, cause he used to rap bout things that people started liking recently. its like he used to rap bout things that people were going to enjoy in the future,so he done did it way before us all,he had SWAGG way before the word was even thought off. 2pac on th other hand rapped bout mainly emotional things, songs that touched your heart which is good specialy now with all the problems the world having
